Your satisfaction and welfare are our concern. Batteries are one of the most important aspects of vaping - for experience AND for safety. Many batteries on the market are counterfeit and are the root cause of estimated 76% of vape device malfunction. That is why we only carry very specific batteries with very specific characteristics that are supplied by VERY specific manufacturers/distributors who perform spot/batch testing. We ship all our batteries in plastic carrying cases for your continued use and safety.
Sony was first to mass produce lithium-ion batteries. Sony continued to develop and refine these and other battery technologies. The VTC5 was a follow on recipe to the VTC4 and it provides slightly less drain current but with more energy storage for longer usage between charges.
The VTC5A is an incremental improvement on the VTC5. The VTC5A has higher current rating than the famous VTC5: 35A vs. 30A continuous current*. The VTC5A does heat up less than the VTC5. It is unclear whether or not Sony Energy still manufactures and distributes these batteries or if another manufacturer (e.g., Samsung,Panasonic) has taken the recipe/specs and replicated them. We do know that the batteries we carry as VTC5A truly function and test out like the original.
The VTC5A are great for both box and mech mods.
Nominal Capacity: 2600 mAh
Minimum Capacity: 2500 mAh
Nominal Voltage: 3.6V
Discharge End Voltage: 2.5V
Standard Charging Current: 2.5A
Charging Voltage: 4.20+-0.05V
Max. Continuous Discharging Current: 25A
Battery Care Guidelines
1. Do not incinerate;
2. Do not disassemble;
3. Do not short positive and negative contacts;
4. Do not expose to heat;
5. Do not completely discharge;
6. Do not use force to install a li-ion battery;
7. Use only high quality battery charger;
8. Charge fully before first use;
9. Store in cold and dry place at approximately nominal voltage.
*The 35A continuous current rating is only valid with 80°C temperature cutoff, as is the VTC5’s 30A rating.
